About California Charter Schools Association

The California Charter Schools Association (The Association) is the membership and professional organization serving charter schools in California. It advances the charter school movement through state and local advocacy, leadership on quality and extensive resources.

Mission

The mission of the California Charter Schools Association is to lead the charter public school movement in California in order to increase the number of students attending high quality charter schools.

Impact

The Association worked with the California legislature to secure $150M in categorical block grant funding for the 2007/2008 school year, increasing the grant to $500 per student. The Association launched the nation's first Certified Charter Schools Program and 463 schools are currently participating.
