About Coliseum College Prep Academy
Coliseum College Prep Academy is a new small school serving East Oakland created on the site of the formerly poor performing Havenscourt Middle School. The school opened in 2006 serving grades 6 and 7, and will add a new 6th grade class each year until it reaches capacity at 420 students in grades 6-12. CCPA offers extended days and a unique school division system to focus on academic improvement.
Mission
Coliseum College Prep Academy is dedicated to providing all of our students with a challenging and relevant education that prepares them for entry to UC and CSU schools and an evolving, technology driven world.
Impact
- Parent satisfaction rose to 94% -- up 30% from the previous year on this campus - 72% of students felt safe at school ' an increase of more than 40% - Attendance rate went up to 93.5% - Suspensions were reduced considerably
