Erik Brown joined Education Pioneers as a Bay Area Fellow for the summer of 2008. Erik worked with Aspire Public Schools to write the business plan for a new nonprofit entity that will provide special education services to charter schools in California. Erik began his career as a management consultant at The Parthenon Group, working on corporate strategy and due diligence for clients in a variety of industries. After consulting, he joined Teach For America and taught 7th grade math and science at Cesar Chavez Academy in East Palo Alto, CA. Erik graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Economics and a certificate in East Asian Studies. He is currently an MBA candidate at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business. Outside of the classroom, Erik is the Co-President of the Haas Education Leadership Club, the President of the Berkeley MBA Rugby Club, and has served as a Board Fellow at Leadership Public Schools and a Oakland Small Schools Resident at Think College Now.
