Suzanne joined Education Pioneers' 2008 Bay Area cohort at The Doris and Donald Fisher Fund, where she conducted media research and analysis. Suzanne began her career as a 7th and 8th grade US History teacher and field hockey and tennis coach in St. Louis, Missouri. She then continued teaching middle school, but in a very different setting as a Peace Corps volunteer in Jordan. Living in the small village of Yubla in northwest Jordan, Suzanne taught 7th and 8th grade English at the secondary school for girls in the village. Upon return to the United States, Suzanne began working on legislative issues in the US Senate, mostly focusing on legislation related to energy security and the environment. She is now a public policy graduate student at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government where she is focusing on domestic education reform policy. Suzanne was born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and completed her undergraduate degree at Yale University majoring in political science.
