Jay Schulze is an MBA Merit Scholar at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, where his studies are focused on social enterprise. Prior to his graduate program, Jay was a financial advisor and Certified Financial PlannerĀ® with UBS and Merrill Lynch. In this role, he was responsible for managing over $250 million on behalf of individual, business, and nonprofit clients. During this time, Jay served on the boards of local affiliates of Habitat for Humanity and The First Tee, and he cites the personal fulfillment he experienced there as the inspiration to pursue a career in the social sector. Jay became an Education Pioneers Fellow because he felt it allowed him to have a direct impact on the educational opportunities provided to the children of Washington, DC. Jay earned a BA in Economics from Yale University.
