Casandra Esparza is the Manager of Partnerships based out of St. Helens, OR, where she aims to build and foster relationships with partners and organizations who are committed to EP’s mission.
Prior to joining EP, Casandra worked as a Senior Assistant Director of Admissions at University of Portland. Casandra’s time in higher education sparked a passion for creating equity and access for marginalized populations seeking postsecondary options. Now at EP, Casandra is excited to support work that develops future leaders in the education sector to make impactful change.
Casandra graduated from the University of Portland with a BA in psychology, and much of her work is inspired by her experience of being a first-generation college graduate. In 2021, Casandra was awarded the Excellence in Admissions award by the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admissions Counseling. She has also had the pleasure of presenting at both national and regional conferences on topics relating to the first-generation college student experience and best practices in supporting marginalized students in higher education.
Outside of work, Casandra enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs (Loki and Thor). You can also catch her at her local CrossFit gym or enjoying her book club’s latest selection.
