Postponed / 2020 Chicago Agents of Change

June 26, 2020, 11:00am to 1:00pm
CT

Unfortunately, given the ongoing and escalating COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve made the hard decision to postpone Agents of Change previously scheduled for June 26 2020. The safety of the people in the EP network — our Alumni, Partners, Fellows, and supporters — is our top priority.

First and foremost, we are deeply grateful for the commitment of our Fellows, Alumni, and Partners, many of whom are finding themselves at the frontlines of the education sector’s response to this unprecedented disruption.

At times like these, we see leadership tested and strengthened. Strong human capital teams, operation departments, and leadership across the sector are rising up to the challenge of ensuring equity for students and communities. We see EP Fellows and Alumni ensuring families have safe access to food, navigating financial disruption for fragile organizations, implementing distance learning tools, providing care for the children of essential workers, and much more.

We are currently exploring a new date for the event later in the summer or early fall when we can bring our network together to celebrate our Alumni who are now, more than ever, demonstrating how they are Agents of Change in their communities as they respond to the needs of students, teachers, and families.

We cordially invite you to join us for our Chicago Agents of Change Annual Luncheon hosted by the Education Pioneers Chicago Alumni Board. Celebrate the impact of our most EPic Chicago Alumni  and new this year, we'll honor one of our partner organizations with an award!

Save the date and download this event to your calendar! Stay tuned for more details and the opportunity to purchase tickets.

Nominations are now open for the 2020 EPic Chicago Alum Award. Nominate the EPic Agent of Change you know today!

An Education Pioneers Agent of Change is an individual who continues to live out the mission of Education Pioneers in their every day life. These individuals demonstrate a passion for education and closing the opportunity gap for all students. These individuals live out the Education Pioneers Core Values of Action, Collaboration, Courage, Optimism, Transformation, People Focused, and Diversity/Equity/Inclusion. An Agent of Change is not dictated by title or role but by the actions these individuals take to ensure that all students and families have a seat at the table. One of the Agents of Change will be named the 2020 EPic Chicago Alum at the event on June 26. Nominations close on 11:59 pm CT on April 5, 2020.
