Jamar Williams is the Vice President, Advancement, based out of the Memphis office. Jamar owns and manages major funder relationships within a portfolio that spans across eight EP cities (Boston, Chicago, DC, Denver, Kansas City, Memphis, New Orleans, and Tulsa). Jamar is thrilled to continue his work in the education sector where he believes that every child is a unique individual who needs a safe, secure, and stimulating atmosphere in which he/she can grow intellectually, socially and emotionally.

He brings a diverse background of work experience in development, corporate sales, and education. Prior to Education Pioneers, Jamar moved to Memphis to serve as the Development Director for City Year Memphis where he lead all development initiatives for City Year's 28th site. Prior to that, he spent four years as a business educator and department lead at Harry S. Truman High School where he developed and implemented the first high school sports marketing program with the Philadelphia Phillies and 76ers. He spent the first four years of his career leading sales and operations for an entertainment manufacturing and distribution company where he prospected and secured license agreements for legendary music artists such as Michael Jackson and Snoop Dogg.

Jamar received his bachelor's degree from Morgan State University in business administration and master's degree from University of Phoenix in education. After work, Jamar enjoys his lifelong pursuit to get closer to God, watching sports, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and making memories with friends and family members.
