EP’s First Cohort of Impact Fellows Kicks Off

Ten months ago, we announced the newest EP Fellowship program: the Impact Fellowship, a leadership development program targeted at exceptional data analysts and strategic project managers. This fall, we’re thrilled to welcome 45 Impact Fellows across the country, who all began their local programming in October.

Over the next 10 months, Impact Fellows will be leading critical complex projects at their placements with local education organizations. Alongside their cohorts, they’ll build their understanding of the K-12 education system at the national and local levels, and they’ll be exposed to frameworks and strategies for leading change. EP-led workshops, site visits, and webinars, peer learning communities, and small group projects are all in the works to enable Fellows to practice and apply learnings in a manner that deepens impact in their placements and communities.

Fall cohorts kicked off with local school visits – designed to connect Fellows to each other and to the students who we’re committed to serve in an immediate and meaningful way. Take a peek at a few of the highlights below!

EP Fellows in Boston visited a local turnaround school, UP Academy Holland.

EP Fellows in DC visited Achievement Preparatory Academy. They toured the school with CEO & Founder, Shantelle Wright, and Chief of Network Affairs, Susie Cannon!

EP Fellows in Tennessee heard from Dr. Sharon Griffin, Superintendent, Achievement School District followed by a site visit to our partners at Knowledge Quest to tour their urban farm.

Stay tuned next week for a more in-depth look at our fall class of Fellows!
