Anacristina Somarriba is the Manager of People, Culture & Experience based in Providence, where she establishes and implements consistent and effective practices to execute core administrative functions, streamline and scale our people operations to deliver seamless staff experiences, and build strong systems to maximize our effectiveness and impact across the organization.
Prior to joining Education Pioneers, Anacristina supported the public launch of the Advanced Education Research Development Fund (AERDF). There, she worked with the founding team to build out the operational infrastructure and core systems. In addition, she created the engagement and recruitment process of Program Directors. Before her time at AERDF, Anacristina worked at Teach For America Bay Area for five years. Throughout her time at TFA, she held a variety of roles, but most recently led hiring, building team culture and people operations.
Anacristina gets the most energy from supporting her teammates – ensuring they feel connected to one another and set up for success. Anacristina graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a dual degree in Business Administration and French Language and International Affairs. Outside of work, Anacristina enjoys playing volleyball and reading.
