Aubrie Tossmann

Director, Fellow Impact (Impact Fellowship)

Aubrie Tossmann (she/they) is the Director, Fellow Impact (Impact Fellowship) based out of Chicago, IL, where she leads the Impact Fellowship as part of the Fellow Alumni Impact team.

Aubrie has over 15 years of experience working with communities through education. Working and living in Chicago’s West Side taught Aubrie that transformational change comes through people and the connections among them. She believes that education is a cornerstone of that change for both young people and adults. Aubrie has been a classroom teacher, was the Director of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) at New Root Learning Institute (formerly Umoja), and most recently was a Leadership Coach at Teach for America. During that time, Aubrie worked with the Building Equitable Learning Environments (BELE) Network and was a Leading for Equity Fellow with National Equity Project. She loves to help people see and develop to their fullest potential and in recent years earned a Master’s Degree in Transformational Leadership and Coaching and is an ICF Certified coach. Aubrie has a bachelor’s in sociology from The College of Wooster.

Aubrie is a wellness and SEL champion for adults and young people alike, and cherishes outside of work time as well. Aubrie loves cooking, building furniture, spending time outdoors at Lake Michigan, and watching women’s basketball with her wife.
