Cassy Burnham is the Managing Director of Development, Marketing, and Communications at Education Pioneers (EP), where she leads strategy to expand EP’s reach and impact through aligned fundraising, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement. She is driven by a belief that leadership talent is one of the most powerful levers for creating more equitable and excellent educational opportunities for all students.
Cassy began her career in a Baltimore classroom through Teach For America, where she saw firsthand how system-level decisions ripple down to shape what is possible for educators and students. That experience has fueled her 15-year career helping mission-driven organizations move from intention to impact. She has served as a teacher, leader, and consultant across schools, networks, and nonprofits, most recently as Managing Director of Academics at KIPP Massachusetts, where she led instructional strategy across the network. Cassy has also partnered with organizations like The Achievement Network and Instruction Partners to support system leaders in driving change, from designing strategy and communications to building implementation plans that stick.
Known for bringing clarity to complex work, she helps teams focus on what matters most and align people, systems, and resources to deliver results.
Cassy lives in Maine with her husband, three young children, and their dog. Outside of work, she can be found running, traveling, or chasing great food and cold ocean water.
