Emily joined Education Pioneers due to her passion for increasing academic excellence in public education and motivation to bring innovative change through empowerment. She believes that every child deserves a quality education and is excited to work with an organization that is making this a reality.
Emily has been an EP staff member since 2011 and has served in a variety of national roles, including supporting the expansion of new Fellowship programs, operationalizing the shift of EP’s priorities based on market needs, and developing and implementing EP’s admissions and placement strategy to ensure exceptional talent is connected with EP’s Partners.
Prior to joining Education Pioneers, Emily worked at PATH, a global health non-profit serving developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In this role, she worked as a Program Assistant supporting and managing maternal and child health and nutrition projects around the world. Prior to PATH, Emily worked as a Research Assistant at the George Washington University School of Public Health in the Environmental Health Department. Emily received her BA in Psychology and minor in Political Science from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
