Erin Willig is the Director, Alumni Impact for Education Pioneers, where she drives our efforts to create a thriving network for our EP Alums.
Erin is a social worker at heart and by training and has extensive experience in program development and implementation, communications, and project management. She hails from a family of educators who instilled in her the belief that every child, particularly those who have been historically excluded, deserves access to a quality education. Erin’s perspective is informed by her training as a social worker and years of direct service with youth and families. Prior to working with Education Pioneers, Erin launched a statewide, text-based college access program at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board; helped establish a national capacity-building and technical assistance program at EngenderHealth; and led efforts to strengthen and deepen communications with parents and educators at Stand for Children.
Erin earned a degree in History from the University of Montana and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. She is happiest when she’s outside and enjoys exploring the mountains and rivers of the west with her family by foot, raft, and bike.
