Jonathan Mitchell is a data-driven strategist committed to innovation, learning, and growth. As Director of Data, Systems, and Analytics at Education Pioneers (EP), he focuses on building sustainable structures that empower teams to make better decisions, generate actionable insights, and achieve long-term success.
Jonathan began his career as a high school math teacher with Teach For America in Hartford, CT, where his students achieved 2.5 years of academic growth in a single year. That experience demonstrated the transformative power of using data to deliver targeted, differentiated support—and sparked his passion for building systems that enable decision-makers to drive performance.
Since 2018, Jonathan has focused his career on organizational learning, continuous improvement, and data strategy. He has supported leaders at Teach For America, Yale University, and now EP in using data to guide change and strengthen outcomes.
Jonathan holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management with a focus in Management Science, where he was recognized with the Dean’s Mission & Impact Award. Jonathan also graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Economics from Southern Utah University.
Based in Salt Lake City, he enjoys exploring the outdoors, spending time with his children and family, and playing strategic board games.
