Vice President, Talent & Partnerships, EP Alumna

Lourdes Laguna is the Vice President of Talent + Partnerships, where she focuses on cultivating quality talent and partnership pipelines for EP’s Fellowship programs and enriching the applicant experience throughout the recruitment & selection process.

Lourdes began her career in program and policy roles at the U.S. Department of Education and DC Public Schools Central Office. Given a desire to work more directly with students, she enrolled in TNTP’s DC Teaching Fellows Program and became an Early Childhood teacher. After teaching in both DC Public Schools and KIPP, Lourdes served as a Dean of Instruction at a PreK3-8 public charter school. An EP Alumna, she completed a Summer Fellowship in 2018 at STAR Academy Charter School in Memphis, TN. Most recently, she was an education consultant with SchoolWorks, supporting school leaders with instructional oversight and strategic planning, and providing leadership coaching.

Lourdes graduated cum laude from Tufts University with a BA in Political Science and received a Masters of Science in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. Outside of work, Lourdes enjoys running, traveling, and trying new plant-based foods.
