Stacy Barr is the Managing Director of Development and is based out of Brooklyn, NY. She leads EP’s fundraising efforts to support the organization’s growth and plans for scale and transformation. Stacy joined EP because she believes the organization plays a critical role in developing leaders to drive system-level change towards equity in education. Prior to joining EP, Stacy led development at Turnaround for Children for 5.5 years. Turnaround partners with educators to help make whole-child design accessible and implementable in all the settings that children learn and develop. Before that, Stacy led institutional fundraising at mentoring and college success organizations including Summer Search and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Stacy graduated from the University of Florida with degrees in communications, business and nonprofit leadership. She received an MPA in Public and Nonprofit Management from New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Stacy’s favorite thing to do is to spend time with her husband and two kids. She enjoys traveling, reading, trying new restaurants and always getting dessert. When she’s not in Brooklyn, you can often find her in her hometown of Miami or adopted town of Woodstock, NY.
