Tracy Session

Chief Impact Officer

Tracy is EP’s Chief Impact Officer. He joined the EP team as Vice President, Programs where he was responsible for leading and managing EP’s recruitment, admissions, and regional program teams across the country. Tracy joined EP because he believes the education reform movement’s success depends largely on our leaders’ capacity to deliver on the promises made to our families and communities.

Over the last decade, Tracy Session has worked for justice and equity for communities of color within the field of education. Before joining EP, Tracy was the Senior Managing Director for Teach For America in Oakland, where he was responsible for leading and managing a team to support over 900 TFA corps members and alumni, and aligning the organization’s overall strategy to the Oakland community’s vision for change. Tracy started his career in education and advocacy working as a CORO fellow for the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and worked in voter registration in the African American community in South Los Angeles.

A native of Long Beach, CA, Tracy graduated from UCLA with degrees in economics and government. In his spare time, Tracy enjoys cooking, hiking with his dog Koba, and reading all manner of fiction.
