Impact Fellowship

We are seeking professionals with skills in data and analysis, strategy and planning, operations, and program and project management. With direct access to leadership development programming and cohort-based learning support, you’ll be well-positioned to help our partner organizations expand opportunities for students.

Here are a few examples of Impact Fellowship placements and projects:

Organization: KIPP NYC

Role: DATA MANAGER

Responsibilities:

  • Design and build data tools and dashboards for various audiences
  • Work across multiple information systems (PowerSchool, Salesforce, Naviance, DeansList, ATS, and Schoolzilla) to streamline data and processes
  • Advise and assist staff members in the use of data tools and systems to inform decision-making, provide insight into student and staff performance, and ensure smooth day-to-day school operations
  • Coordinate with the Data team to coordinate logistics for standardized testing, including reporting and analyzing test results

Organization: DC OFFICE OF THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF EDUCATION (OSSE)

Role: PROJECT MANAGEMENT FELLOW

Responsibilities:

  • Provide project management support for revising and updating policy regulation documents and guides (e.g., collect and capture feedback, provide editorial and proofreading support, et al.)
  • Create project plan for creation and revisions of critical policy documents and manuals
  • Prepare and maintain project tracking tools
  • Communicate status updates, roadblocks, and needs to management team
  • Review and modify scope of project based on deadlines

Organization: CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Role: OPERATIONS FELLOW

Responsibilities:

  • Provide non-instructional operations support, supporting effective implementation for initiatives related to facilities, staff hiring, transportation, family engagement, or student enrollment
  • Ensure compliance with critical health and safety laws, contracts, teacher certification regulations to ensure good standing

Organization: GOOD REASON HOUSTON

Role: PROJECT MANAGEMENT FELLOW

Responsibilities:

  • Support the continuation of work with existing district partnerships, while also helping to build relationships with new partners in alignment with partner cultivation plan
  • Establish and track project timelines, priorities, and deliverables
  • Work closely with the district and charter-facing Managing Directors to provide on-going project management support
  • Regularly engage with top partner leadership to support ongoing relevant systems-level work and respond to any emerging or unanticipated needs

Summer Fellowship

EP focuses on recruiting and placing Summer Fellows in four key priority areas: data and analysis, strategy and planning, operations, and program and project management. Use your skills to impact students and families and jumpstart a meaningful career.

Organization: DC PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Role: IMPACT Evaluation System Fellow

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and systematize improvements to DC Public Schools teacher and school leadership evaluation system, IMPACT
  • Develop resources for school leaders and superintendents to improve feedback provided during the evaluation process
  • Analyze evaluation results and survey data to gather insights and better inform school supports provided by central office
  • Compile finalized scores for all evaluated school leaders and a memo of recommended changes for the IMPACT evaluation system, including project plans for implementation

Organization: iEDUCATE

Role: Program Strategy Fellow

Responsibilities:

  • Support revisions to the program implementation frameworks
  • Review current frameworks and professional development plans and develop updated plans for ongoing Programs Team professional development
  • Conduct a gap analysis of current Programs Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and create suggested revisions
  • Work with Programs Team to identify gaps in current work and identify priorities moving forward.

Organization: DISTINCTIVE SCHOOLS

Role: Human Capital Strategic Projects Fellow

Responsibilities:

  • Build an intranet site to a be one-stop shop for staff resources
  • Develop a new campus leader handbook, including a breakdown or roles and responsibilities, expectations, communication standards, etc.
  • Develop an interview toolkit and revamp job descriptions for instructional and non-instructional staff

Organization: OAKLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Role: Equitable Summer Learning Enrollment Systems Fellow

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a step by step process for equitably enrolling students into summer learning programs
  • Conduct a systems analysis to determine potential improvements that provide families a streamlined experience to apply online
  • Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate overall communication with families, enrollment confirmation and data integration into existing enrollment systems
