Education Pioneers Alum Maya Martin Cadogan (2008) was named a finalist for TheGrio’s inaugural Hero award, which honors “everyday African-Americans who are working to improve the Black community and uplift the culture.”
Maya was recognized for her work as founder and executive director of Parents Amplifying Voices in Education (PAVE), a non-profit organization dedicated to amplifying the voices of parents from across Washington, D.C.
